What is “All-on-4”?
The “All-on-4” procedure uses advanced technology to replace one full row of teeth with only four dental implants (attachments) into the jawbone.
Many individuals for various reasons may have several teeth missing due to age, decay, neglect and gum disease. Instead of using a single implant to replace each and every missing tooth, the “All-on-4” implant replaces several missing teeth with only four strategically placed implants minimizing trauma to the jawbone and making the whole process much more comfortable.
How is the “All-on-4” Procedure Done?
Here at Front Range Oral Surgery, Dr. Hinckley performs the “All-on-4” procedure as a minor surgery under light sedation. Once the implants are attached, they are permanently fixed so there is no continuous hassle or discomfort as is often the case with dentures. After the implants are in place, crowns are attached and serve as the visible replacement teeth, with the appearance and function of beautiful, healthy teeth.
Good Candidates for “All-on-4” Dental Implants include those who:
- Are missing several or all of their teeth
- Are about to lose all or several teeth
- Cannot have traditional single implants due to areas of bone loss
- Are current denture wearers
